Bitch!!! Why you got to lie?? Ok first off flattered…that I sort of got to name your new episode. But, now you claiming like you don’t know about these alleged photos. OH HELL NO!!! Ok, all photos and maybe videos are here by being confiscated. Ima come beat your ass. :)

  2. Don C. says:

Like the website, but really loath this recent graphic art for show ep248. I’m sorry; but, what the f&8k!?!?! Like seriously!! U actually think shit like this is funny?!?!

I know it’s your show, and you have the right to do whatever you want; however, putting up shit like this only serves to make you look stupid!!

Putting up racists shit like this only serves to demean people and cater to the lowest denominator by playing on misguided sterotypes. Minstrel shows back in the early part of the 20th Century only purpose was to play up ont he worst steryotypes of Blacks to an all White audience. Unforunately some of those sterytypes some people still believe in today, and it only serves to breed hate.

Would you be so inclined of putting up a picture of some guy getting gay bashed? or someone from Fred Phelps camp with a sign saying “God hates fags?” No, I don’t think so…

I listen to your show sometimes, and I actually find it’s pretty funny. It’s sad that you had to go ahead and put something up like this in the name of cheap laughs!!

Sorry boys, this is just plan dull, uncreative and assine. This definately went beyond Foul it’s just plan Revolting and in an era of open mindness just plan wrong.

    That’s my 0.02$

    Think abotu it…

  3. Bjorn says:

    Don,
Really? Yeah it is sort of racist but do you listen to the show enough to know a joke? get a f-ing life. How about the fact that this exists in real life? I think show art is show art and if you take it too seriously especially from a COMEDY PODCAST then you are too easily offended and need to get a life. Really what is more offensive is on tv than one joke image about things that really happened. IF you can laugh at it, you can learn from it.

GO watch Glen Beck if you want offensive.

    Wow…

    LACISTS!

I’m not a total dipstick; however, I know the difference between funny and tasteless. And posting something that offensive is just plain stupid. It’s not artistic nor avant garde. It only makes them out to be ignorant. PERIOD. If you knew the history behind this, you’ll think differently. Obvously, you rather turn a blind eye, Bjorn. And you know what happens to those who ignore history…they are doomed to repeat it…

  6. Brian says:

Faggot! Omg, I call someone a faggot. I know the origin of it and I still used it. And I happen to BE one!! (gasps) I must be tasteless and not avant garde.

    Don, lighten up. K?

  7. Brian says:

‘Sides, everyone knows blackface is in right now. (winkies)

  8. What was the big secret that Andrew revealed? Wow, I was on the show and still didn’t hear it. Time for a Belltone hearing aid, I guess. LOL.

I think we should all move on regarding Don C’s comment. He is, after all, entitled to his opinion just in the same way that FoulMonkeys is entitled to manage their podcast as they see fit.

I don’t necessarily agree that this art work is racist, since to be a racist you have to meet certain criteria or have a belief system that makes your race superior over others. I definitely do not see that in my friends at FoulMonkeys. At best, this may be a case of social risk-taking by going against the values that we all try to embrace in our daily lives.

    Veritable Virgo

    VV

You really DON’T see that this work is RACISTS? Maybe you should check out this wikepedia article on Blackface http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackface

    Our watch Spike Lee’s Bamboozled

There an old saying “images always out last the spoken word” and racial images stand have always stand the test of time. I’m sorry your “friends” Ricky and Julian crossed the line here by putting forward an image that plays on the worst steryotypes of Black people from a bygone area in order to achieve cheep laughs and defend themselves in the name of free speech and art. It’s hateful, demaning, unimaginative and just plain dull. There other pocast out there like the Buck & Baboloo Show and the Inapporiate Couch that doesn’t stoop to that level.

Racism isn’t just someone who has a smug belief in racial superiority but share ignorant of history. Am I so uptype we can;t laugh at ourselves. Sure I like ethnic jokes like anyone, and thank god we reach this level in our society that we can do so. However; their a difference between humour that is funny based on a shared human experince and down right riducle. The historic significance and damamging effect of Black Face should never be ignored. It’s up right up there with Nigger. Hiding behind freedom of speech and the name of art is just and excuse to be plain ignorant.

I respect your right to defend your friends VV and your opinion but the truth is that they crossed the line.

It’s too bad you and others don’t see it.

    peace

  10. Bjorn says:

    Don,
I know Blackface and know when real racism exists. I have seen it in action and seen it when it can be hurtful. How about that these films are out there for rent? or that images are on creative commons for use.

Racism is much more prevelant in our society and an image of black face for comedy is no more worse than an episode of South Park.

I have seen the results of real, systemic racism in our country. One little flashback image is probably not that.

    You are over reacting Don.

  11. Bjorn says:

I have just heard The next show and I’m sorry for misunderstanding what is going on. I am sorry Don for defending my friends and a mis-communication.

  12. Don C says:

No worries, Bjorn. I think we all learned something here. To steal a pharse from Rhianna “Never a failure, always a lesson.”

    :)
